Car Colston CC

Welcome to Car Colston Cricket Club!

Welcome to Car Colston Cricket Club, Nottinghamshire's best kept cricket secret.

The club was started in 1863, since when cricket has been played out on the village common in front of The Royal Oak pub.

Since its inception the club ground has been on Large green, which is one of the two greens forming the bulk of Car Colston Common.

The club is the only one in Nottinghamshire still playing on a village green, still playing one match per week on Sunday afternoons.

The club offers a warm welcome to those visiting clubs who engage in friendly matches on Sunday afternoons, played in a good spirit.

That hospitality is further extended by The Royal Oak pub after the match, where both teams repair for liquid nourishment following a hard-ish afternoon's graft!
